Hi Kenneth, this is stunning, so very beautiful. I love that red against the green and how you darkened just the edges and kept the light behind this beauty. You even made a zinnia one beautiful flower. Wish I could do that. :) L/F

Thank you very much for your kind words, Debra. You do beautiful work and I especially enjoy your lilies. I usually strive for a 3D type of effect on closeups. To get the effect I will use either a macro or telephoto lens to throw the bg out of focus for separation and also the bg needs to be different colors from the image, if possible. A bit of vignetting, you have to be careful not to over do it, will also help with separation from the bg. Sorry, I'm sure you already know this. My rambling comes from teaching so many novices. Thanks again for your very nice comment.
